Ken Whitman is a controversial person in the gaming sphere. He has over 190,000 dollars in kickstarters where he has not fullfilled the items. Recently he went on the YouTube talk show The Vlog of Many Things where he had a contentious interview and vowed to begin paying back the hundred of people he took from, and as of the date of this posting he has paid nothing back. Ken runs and operates an actors retreat several actors retreats.
Followed Tenkars Tavern's coverage of the myriad of scandals that Ken or Whit Whitman have been in for over a decade, including at least 10 Kickstarters where the money disappeared and the Kickstarter was never fulfilled. I had the displeasure to interview him, and while I wanted to see him finally make good on something, his promises of paying everyone back has proven to be an empty promise.
I interviewed him, his deflections and his promises to make things right were common tropes. However, as the end of the day hundreds of backers are out almost 200 thousand dollars, and he seems to not care, even though he says he does. On the Vlog of Many Things he made promises to begin making things right, however that was a few months ago and as of today nothing has been done. I believe people can change, but change comes with demonstration to change. This man has not demonstrated anything at all, so it I have to give him as a game company and person one star. Ken if you see this only you can make things right, and only you are responsible for not making it right.
